From June 1 to July 31/2022, the rainfall amount compared to normal in Tigray, Amhara, South Afar, West and North Oromiya,, Benshangul-Gumuz, Gambella, South West Ethiopia, the northern part of SNNPR Region and also eastern part of Ethiopia had recorded normal to above normal rain. A small amount of rain has been recorded on occasional days in the South Oromiya lowlands of pocket areas.
In the coming two months of August and September 2022, most parts of north western, western, north eastern and central parts of the country are expected to have normal to above normal rainfall. South western, eastern and southern lowland of the country are likely to occur near normal rainfall.
